While it may lack the star power of a national presidential election, there are lots of interesting stories today as voters across the country wake up and head to the polls:
Will the recent list maintenance effort in Virginia result in problems at the polls?
Will Texas’ new photo ID law – which has already snagged about one in seven voters during early voting whose IDs don’t exactly match their names – have the same effect on Election Day?
How will ranked-choice voting work in Minnesota – especially in Minneapolis, where voters will be asked to choose three candidates from a list of 35 running for mayor?
Will Ohio’s aggressive effort to eliminate duplicate voter records from the rolls result in a reduction of the state’s usually high provisional voting rates?
Will New York City have enough “I Voted” stickers?
And what other stories that we don’t know about will pop up during the day?
Stay tuned …
