Nebraska First State in 2015 to Move Voter ID – With a Twist

Nebraska’s Unicameral Legislature may soon take up the issue of voter ID after a bill was reported out of committee yesterday. The proposal includes an interesting twist: a provision that allows voters to be “positively identified” using county voter registration documents.

The 24th Amendment at 51: Preventing (and Defining) "Poll Taxes"

51 years after ratification of the 24th Amendment banning poll taxes in federal elections, the arguments continue over “poll taxes” – in essence, unfair costs imposed on voters. It will be interesting to see how this issue evolves as elections do.
